Cadet/Junior Folkstyle National Trip

§        Hotel rooms have been reserved and flyer has been made – April 4-6 (First Come/First Serve Sign Ups)

§        Jim Humphrey is the Team Leader

New Business:

Folkstyle State

§        We received a request that an exception be made for a wrestler who cannot make weigh-ins at Ben Davis.  Discussion took place.  Request for a motion was made.  No motion was made.  Therefore, no adjustments or exceptions will take place.  There is a petition process and waivers may be issued to wrestlers to participate in national tournaments (depending upon circumstances).

§        Hoosier Authority has offered an add on service:  apparel sales, DVD sales, action photos and live media coverage.  We have already entered into an exclusive vendor agreement with Jim’s Wrestling Supply.  Louis will talk to Hoosier Authority about the add on service without offering apparel sales.  We can allow Hoosier Authority to bid next year.

USGWA

§        The United States Girls Wrestling Association has been contacting clubs (Warren Central has hosted in the past) about hosting their tournament in Indiana.  Discussion took place.  The event would have to be separate from our state tournament.  Their tournament is more expensive and they do not use standard weight classes (they block weights, but are committed to give girls 3 or more matches).  USGWA would have to have their own insurance and the hosting school would have to accept liability.
