§  Has received a complaint from a parent whose child’s name was not listed in the publication due placing 8th.

§  Jean Whetstone is still working on a resolution for these types of situations, because Track Wrestling does accommodate out to 8th place.  Wrestlers sometimes request early award release and leave the tournament, before a special bout for 8th place is determined.

§  Talked about Track Wrestling and the problem with 6th place and up.  It is less of a problem if we only placed out to 6th place.  Track Wrestling also does not facilitate ties.

§  We need to re-educate the wrestling community:  It is NOT always lose 2 matches and go home.  There are special bouts in some cases.  Early award release adds to this problem.

§  Working on registration dates for pre-registration.  This is needed asap for Folkstyle State.

§  Regional weigh-in process:  Need a plan for each site.  Need a list of pre-registered wrestlers.

§  The next coaches conference call is scheduled for February 2nd @ 9:30PM.

§  He is still working with USA Wrestling on the Silver Clinic—has sent an itinerary and waiting for approval. There will be some upfront costs involved, but he hopes to recoup these costs.  Danny does not anticipate that the clinic will be a money-maker, but it will be a good educational tool for Indiana coaches.
