Friday, March 26th - Youth Olympic Games Qualifier
52 KG - Sarah Hildebrandt - 2nd Place
70 KG - Demi Strub - 2nd Place (Demi will be going to the YOG qualifier in Mexico, the 1st place winner is injured and cannot attend)
Saturday, March 27th - USAW Women's Folkstyle Nationals
High School 109 lbs. - Sarah Hildebrandt - 2nd Place
High School 138 lbs. - Demi Strub - 5th Place
Middle School 96lbs. - Lea Thompson - 3rd Place
Elementary 69-71 lbs. - Emily Peterson - 2nd Place
Sunday, March 28th - USAW Women's Folkstyle Duals
Team PA (Draw Team) - High School 138 lbs. - Demi Strub - 3 wins - 0 losses
Sunday, April 4th - USGWA Nationals
High School 112 lbs. - Sarah Hildebrandt - 1st Place
High School 116 lbs. - Grace Gibby Paxton - 5th Place
High School 139 lbs. - Demi Strub - 2nd Place
Middle School 95 lbs. - Kristina Metz - 6th Place
Middle School 110 lbs. - Jasmine Fuller - 3rd Place
Grade School Group 9 - Emily Peterson - 4th Place

There is also an up-to-date schedule for women’s only events to attend throughout the next year and information from the Women’s trip to Junior Nationals in 2009.

Open Agenda for Women’s Wrestling
Constant Tasks to Promote:
1) Increase participation in both ISWA Women’s state events (Freestyle & Folkstyle)
2) Promote and emphasize importance of Women attending Junior Nationals.
3) Promote attendance at Women’s Wrestling Camp in June.
4) Attend and support all Local and National Women’s events from USAW and USGWA.
Agenda Items Currently in Process:
1) Discussions with Franklin HS for dates of Women’s Camp
2) Readying mailing and forms to be included for mailing to women in January.
3) Gathering Video and Photos of Indiana Women for Promotional Video.
Statewide Items Being Discussed:
1) Developing an Open discussion with the IHSWCA and IHSAA to formulate a plan to sanction High School Women’s Wrestling
2) Seeking ISWA member clubs to become Women’s Regional Club.
National Items being discussed:
1) Moving Women’s Freestyle duals to include with Men’s Junior Duals.
