For the upcoming eight (8) National High School Recruiting Showcase qualifiers, USA Wrestling will be offering a Single Event License to meet the athlete membership requirement. With this, a participant may pay $5 in order to compete in the specific event only. Registration is completed through USA Wrestling’s membership system, meaning a participant will not be able to proceed with registration without either having his/her membership or purchasing a Single Event License.
The Single Event License has been piloted in a handful of local/state tournaments in the last 2 membership seasons, and we feel as though this is a great opportunity to further test this option at a tournaments attracting wrestlers from multiple states.
When an athlete purchases the Single Event License, they are in a sense a member of USA Wrestling for that tournament only, and are entitled to the same insurance benefits for any injury sustained during the competition. This will not turn the red button to green in the membership system, however, and does not mean that they are a member or able to register for any other USA Wrestling event without purchasing the appropriate athlete membership.

If any athlete qualifies and wishes to compete in the High School National Recruiting Showcase who purchased the Single Event License for the qualifier, the athlete must purchase a Traditional Athlete Membership or the Full Athlete Membership.
As a reminder, the High School National Recruiting Showcase will be held March 25-27, 2021 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, IA.

USA Wrestling is excited to announce the brand new 2021 High School Recruiting Showcase event series. The qualifier events will feature the top High School boys’ and girls’ wrestlers from around the country. For the boys (contested in Folkstyle) and girls (contested in Freestyle), the top five (5) place winners from each qualifier will qualify for the 2021 USAW High School National Recruiting Showcase.
All High School state champions and National Prep champions (any year) automatically qualify for the High School National Recruiting Showcase for both boys and girls (they would not need to attend a qualifier). All previous High School state champions and National Prep champions MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR THE NATIONAL RECRUITING SHOWCASE BY MARCH 1 to guarantee their spot.
High School State champions are defined as High School state association sanctioned state champions for boys in Folkstyle, and both state association sanctioned champions and recognized unofficial state champions for girls in Folkstyle.
The Indiana Qualifier will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines. USA Wrestling and the local organizers will monitor data and local trends closely leading up to the event.
