Franklin Wrestling Club's 2023/2024 season begins September 1, 2023.  The wrestling season is broken into three seasons.

1. Elementary Duals Season starting in November until the ISWA Elementary State Duals Tournament January 7th, 2024 & Jan. 28th ISWA MS State Duals (TBA Ft Wayne alternate location).
2. Folkstyle Season runs until ISWA Folkstyle State Finals tournament March 8-10th, 2024.
3. Freestyle & Greco (Olympic Style Wrestling) continues until May 3-5th, 2024.                       

4. Tentative ISWA Individual Middle School State  Jan 28th &  The IHSWCA Middle School State Duals @CG is Feb. 4th,  2024.

5. Central Regionals May 17-19th, 2024 @ Ft Wayne

*June and July consist of off-season training and Team Indiana National competition.

*Special TEAM BUILDING OPPORTUNITY, Coach Tonte organizes a trip to Orlando, Florida for the incoming high school team.  The AAU Disney National Duals occurs mid-June for all incoming 7th & 8th graders and high school wrestlers.  

FCHS offers both a men's and women's wrestling program.  The high school program is sanctioned by the IHSAA or the Indiana High School Athletic Association.  Website: http://www.ihsaa.org

FCMS offers wrestling for both young boys and girls. Preseason is in November and season runs December through March.

Franklin Community Wrestling Program offers additional instruction and mat time at FCHS.  The high school coaching staff opens the wrestling room (enter door #21) 2 days a week during MS season.  Once MS season is over Franklin Wrestling Club offers instruction and mat time 3 days at week: Mon-Wed-Thrs. 

NOTE: Coach Dorsey encourages Franklin MS wrestlers to participate in some events that require a USA Wrestling Card.  This card cost $40. If you need assistance contact Tina Tonte at tonteti@franklinschools.org

FWC Volunteers are needed!

We are running a Fundraiser through the weekend of the Eclipse to support our Franklin Wrestling Club! Consider signing up for a time 2 hour time slot to help us, help you, support our club!

Funds go to things like: AAU Scholastic Duals logistics, maybe new uniforms for a desperately needed FCMS team, special clinicians for your growth and continued education etc! Join us Friday - Monday, April 5th - 8th as we help support the people of Johnson County and the eclipse on-lookers!

We will be serving food and drinks along with some fun cornhole games!  This event will take place in the parking lot of Sharp Graphics (nexts to Anns) 49 W Monroe St in downtown Franklin near the amphitheatre.  Parents wishing to arrange rides with coaches to lessen parking/traffic can text Coach Tonte at 317-371-2654 prior to 2 hour shift.  Golf cart shuttle will be provided per request if necessary.

FWC needs volunteers to help serve and sell food Friday April 5-8th.

Why is fundraising important?  In order to become a nationally recognized program funds are a top priority to allow athletes to compete at a national level.  Funds are needed for program growth.  Our program offers items such as camps, clinics, Fun days (Bring a Friend Nite), Meal pitch ins, overnight hotel stays and so much more.  These are just a few items to develop grass root development from our youth all the way through high school. Providing excellent coaching staff and clinicians throughout the season will bring the wrestling program in Franklin to a nationally recognized program to be proud of. These are just a few of Franklin Wrestling Fundraisers.
