FCHS offers both a men's and women's wrestling program.  The high school program is sanctioned by the IHSAA or the Indiana High School Athletic Association.  Website: http://www.ihsaa.org

FCMS offers wrestling for both young boys and girls. Preseason is in November and season runs December through March.

Franklin Community Wrestling Program offers additional instruction and mat time at FCHS.  The high school coaching staff opens the wrestling room (enter door #21) 2 days a week during MS season.  Once MS season is over Franklin Wrestling Club offers instruction and mat time 3 days at week: Mon-Wed-Thrs. 

NOTE: Coach Dorsey encourages Franklin MS wrestlers to participate in some events that require a USA Wrestling Card.  This card cost $45. If you need assistance contact Tina Tonte at tonteti@franklinschools.org

Franklin Wrestling Club's 2024/2025 season begins September 1, 2024.  The wrestling season is broken into three seasons.

1. Elementary Duals Season starting in November until the ISWA Elementary State Duals Tournament first Sunday in January with the ISWA MS State Duals hosted in  Ft Wayne the last Sunday In November.
2. Folkstyle Season runs until ISWA Folkstyle State Finals tournament second weekend in March .
3. Freestyle & Greco (Olympic Style Wrestling) continues until first weekend of May .                       

4. The IHSWCA Middle School State Duals @CG is first Sunday in February.

5. Central Regionals@ Ft Wayne is usually the 3rd weekend of May.

*June and July consist of off-season training and Team Indiana National competition including the AAU Scholastic Duals mid June.  

*Special TEAM BUILDING OPPORTUNITY, Coach Tonte organizes a trip to Florida for the incoming high school team.  The AAU Scholastic National Duals occurs mid-June for all incoming 7th & 8th graders and high school wrestlers.  This trip cost is estimated $900 and includes a charter bus, hotel, AAU athlete card, team entry and some meals.  Once information is announced price and agenda will be posted.

Why is fundraising important?  In order to become a nationally recognized program funds are a top priority to allow athletes to compete at a national level.  Funds are needed for program growth.  Our program offers items such as camps, clinics, Fun days (Bring a Friend Nite), Meal pitch ins, overnight hotel stays and so much more.  These are just a few items to develop grass root development from our youth all the way through high school. Providing excellent coaching staff and clinicians throughout the season will bring the wrestling program in Franklin to a nationally recognized program to be proud of. These are just a few of Franklin Wrestling Fundraisers.
