How to Safely Wear Your Face Mask
The CDC recommends these steps to follow when putting on and wearing a face mask:
  • Wash your hands before putting on your face mask
  • Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin
  • Try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face
  • Make sure you can breathe easily
  • Don’t put the covering around your neck or up on your forehead
  • Don’t touch the face mask, and, if you do, wash your hands
Taking off a face mask:
  • Untie the strings behind your head or stretch the ear loops
  • Handle only by the ear loops or ties
  • Fold outside corners together
  • Place covering in the washing machine
  • Be careful not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth when removing and wash hands immediately after removing
#MaskUpHoosiers

Even though Indiana has begun to reopen and loosen restrictions, measures to remain safe are still being upheld. The #MaskUpHoosiers campaign is spreading awareness about face masks and asking citizens to share who they are wearing a mask for.

A toolkit with logos, profile picture, and customizable signs, is available to download to help get involved and encourage our community to mask up.
