Special One Day Event Membership Opportunity!

For the upcoming eight (8) National High School Recruiting Showcase qualifiers, USA Wrestling will be offering a Single Event License to meet the athlete membership requirement. With this, a participant may pay $5 in order to compete in the specific event only. Registration is completed through USA Wrestling’s membership system, meaning a participant will not be able to proceed with registration without either having his/her membership or purchasing a Single Event License.

The Single Event License has been piloted in a handful of local/state tournaments in the last 2 membership seasons, and we feel as though this is a great opportunity to further test this option at a tournaments attracting wrestlers from multiple states.

When an athlete purchases the Single Event License, they are in a sense a member of USA Wrestling for that tournament only, and are entitled to the same insurance benefits for any injury sustained during the competition. This will not turn the red button to green in the membership system, however, and does not mean that they are a member or able to register for any other USA Wrestling event without purchasing the appropriate athlete membership.

If any athlete qualifies and wishes to compete in the High School National Recruiting Showcase who purchased the Single Event License for the qualifier, the athlete must purchase a Traditional Athlete Membership or the Full Athlete Membership.

As a reminder, the High School National Recruiting Showcase will be held March 25-27, 2021 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, IA.
