The age divisions and weights listed below will be used at all ISWA Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman state final events.

Women Wrestling does not include the Pee-Wee or Bantam age divisions at any regional or national event. At the state level only, weight classes will be added for Pee-Wee through Novice age division wrestlers weighing heavier than the listed weights. 

To clarify details about USAW and ISWA's age division name changes as well as some weight class changes, please note:
1) All wrestlers will still be wrestling in age divisions that are two years wide and “age” will still be determined by year of birth.

2) The age divisions labeled 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U etc. and the wrestler's age will be based on the difference of the current wrestling year of 2019 and the year they were born. 
> EX: With 12U (formerly Novice, born 2007-2008), by the end of 2019 anyone born in either 2008 or 2007 will be 11 or 12…12U.

For those struggling with the name change the ISWA will and clubs hosting tournaments are encouraged to co-name the age divisions ex: 12U Novice

3) Though USAW regionally/nationally does not include a 6U/Pee-Wee age division in their age & weight division chart, ISWA does.

4) In local tournaments, directors in rare occasions may include one lower and one higher weight class if necessary. Those same accommodations will be made at the state championships.
